Notes

The Notes tab can be found in the customer folder.

Creating a New Note

To create a new Note within a folder, click the first row of the grid that displays Click here to add a new row -

 

 

Select a Category from the drop-down list and TAB to the Note column to enter or copy/paste note text. 

 

 

Once note is entered. click off line or TAB through row to Save. The Note Date and Entered By columns will auto-update.

 

Filter Notes

To filter Notes by category, click the funnel icon in the top-right corner of the Category column and select which Category you wish to filter by.

 

 

Copy Notes

You can copy a note by selecting the note box and right-clicking the highlighted material, then click Copy.

 

 

Also, if you right-click over the grid, you can copy Notes in three different ways:

 

 

1) Copy All Notes: This allows you to copy all the notes for that folder

 

2) Copy Selected Note: Allows you to copy the Note you have highlighted

 

3) Copy Selected Row(s): Allows you to copy selected row(s) 

 

Selecting Notes for E-mailing or Printing

Double-click the box of your desired Note under the "SEL" column. A green circle check-mark should appear. You can also right-click over the grid > Select All Notes:

 

 

Click either the email or print icon on the bottom Button Bar.

 

 

Email: Address your email then click the green Add/Process button on the bottom Button Bar.

 

 

Print: Click the Print icon and then click Print:

 

 

 

Highlighting a Note

All USR Notes can be highlighted. To Highlight a Note, right click over the Note's column in the Grid and select Highlight.

 

 

The count on the Notes tab will now show the count of highlighted notes:

 

 

Deleting a Note

Only USR notes can be deleted. SYS notes cannot be deleted.

 

To Delete a Note you must have "Delete" permission (pictured below):

 

 

To Delete a note, right-click over the note line and select "Delete" from the menu.

 

 

NOTE: If you DO NOT have the permission to Delete, you will NOT see the menu item for "Delete".

For NEX Customer Portal Users: Marking a Web Note as Read

If a customer makes an online customer portal request for an estimate, a Folder will be created in Nexsyis. On the notes tab, a record of the request will show.

 

 

The note will be highlighted until a user right-clicks and selects "Mark Web Note as Read".

 

 

Nexsyis will record it as read on the note and in the Audit Log.
