Setting up Referral Sources

To set up the Opportunity "Source" list on the Folder,

Open Setup / Folder / Opportunity & Referral / Referral Sources

Add new, or double-click on an existing to edit.

"Description" will populate the "Source" drop-down, "Links To" will popluate the "Referral" search type.

For example, Dealership is linked to Vendor, so the search screen will show Vendors.

The checkbox for "Allow Related Parties" will make a third selection available.

For example, Source = Insurance Co, Referral = USAA, and Related = Adjuster's name.

Reporting

From the Reports menu, select the "Opportunity and Referral" report.

Source = Referral Source

Referral = Referral Type
