Vehicle Return
Creating a Vehicle Return
1. Open the Folder of the original repair and select the Vehicle Return tab. Click the New button on the button bar.
2. At the top of the screen, select the VR Location, Resource, and Arrival and Target Dates.
3. At the bottom of the screen, click the green "+" button to add a line. Fill in the information for the work you will be performing (this works similarly to adding manual lines to a Work Order).
Pending Vehicle Returns
If the VR has not been marked as Arrived, it will show on the "Pending Vehicle Returns" tab of the Vehicle Center.
Tracking a Vehicle Return
Once a Vehicle Return has been marked as Arrived, the vehicle will appear as "Arrived" in the In Process tab of the Vehicle Center. The Folder number will be highlighted in red and a “VR” flag will appear under the VR column.
If you have created Purchases and labor lines for work to be performed, these will be available in the purchases screen to order:
And the labor allocation to allocate labor to technicians
Note: if in the original repair, you used percentages to allocate to technicians, ie. if you allocated 100% of body labor to a technician, this will carry over and he will automatically get 100% of the body labor on the vehicle return.
Completing/Delivering a Vehicle Return
Once the work is complete,

Vehicle Return Permission
Permission for Vehicle Returns called “Vehicle Return lines – Add/Edit” (located under Transaction Permissions).
In a Vehicle Return, an employee can freely add or change lines if they are $0 and 0.0 labor hours (basically if you want to add/edit lines for the purpose of documentation).
If an employee wants to add/edit lines that do have a dollar amount or labor units, they will need this new permission before they can save their line changes.
Since VR lines with any amount, can and will result in additional parts purchases or labor flags, this permission was put in place to prevent users without permission from doing so.
Vehicle Return Reporting
Under the Reporting tab, Reports screen, locate the report called "Vehicle Returns Tracking"
