Here's an interactive tutorial

** Best experienced in Full Screen (click the icon in the top right corner before you begin) **

https://www.iorad.com/player/2344829/Allocating-Labor

Open the Labor Allocation Screen

You can open the Labor Allocation screen from either the Folder by clicking the Labor Allocation button or

From the In Process tab, double-click the red "A" flag under the Alloc column (this flag will show if labor needs to be allocated).

Allocate Labor

The left side of the screen shows labor hours for each labor type on the Work Order.

You will allocate each type of labor one line at a time:

  1. Click the New "+" button to begin a new allocation line
  2. Select the Labor Type
  3. Select P,F, O and enter the amount in the box below
    1. This section will default to 100% "P" (Percent).
    2. Change to “F” (Flat) to enter a flat unit of hours (ie. 5 hours).
    3. Change to "O" (Override) if you want to overpay your technician more hours than are on the job.
  4. Select the Resource Name- the list will populate with Resources set up for the labor type you selected and the location you are at-- check the corresponding box to display “Resources from all Locations” or “Resources from all Labor Types” in the list.

Add as many lines as desired. You can split the labor as necessary across types (Flat, %, Override) and Nexsyis will automatically perform the calculations. For example, you can allocate 100% of Body Labor to Resource A, as well as a Flat amount of Body hours to Resource B. Resource B will always receive the Flat # of hours, and Resource A will receive 100% of the remaining hours after the flat amount is deducted.  Note: if the labor on the job changes, the Flat amount will not change but Nexsyis will automatically recalculate the amount of any % allocations.

Click Save when you are finished

Once all labor has been allocated, the red "A" flag for that Folder will no longer show on the In Process screen.
