Linking Documents Guide

1. USB Scanner

Setup Instructions

  • Nexsyis supports most USB scanners using TWAIN or WIA drivers.

  • Fujitsu scanners using ISIS drivers are not supported.

  • For optimal performance, use a USB 3.0 scanner connected to a USB 3.0 port.

  • Recommended scan settings:

    • Black & White

    • Max 200 DPI

    • (Smaller file sizes + faster scanning)

2. Insert Files from Disk

You can upload documents directly from your PC via:

  • The Folder Documents screen

  • The Imaging window

To set a default file path: Operator Imaging Path Setup

Steps to upload:

3. Shared Scanner / Copier Setup

For centralized scanning using a shared multi-function device:

IT Setup

Create the following shared folders on the server:

\\servername\sharename\APINV \\servername\sharename\APOH \\servername\sharename\FolderDocs

  • Set up Quick Scan buttons on the copier for each path.

  • Send the folder paths to your Nexsyis contact or email: nexsupport@nexsyis.com.

  • Once configured, users can access these folders via the Files on Disk dropdown in Nexsyis Imaging.

4. Document Import Service (for centralized AP linking)

This optional service allows scanned AP invoices to be automatically uploaded for remote linking.

How it Works:

  1. A parts person scans invoices using the shared copier (with Quick Scan buttons).

  2. Files are saved to a shared folder on the shop server.

  3. A Nexsyis service monitors this folder and automatically uploads files to Azure.

  4. The documents appear in Nexsyis Imaging > Unprocessed, ready for linking.

To enable this service, contact Nexsyis Support at nexsupport@nexsyis.com for installation instructions.
