Overview

You can create a manual estimate in Nexsyis for small cost pay items (only 1-2 line items), such as towing, storage, alignment, rental, or teardown. This is for Estimates you do not want to put in the Estimating system.

You can learn more about how to set up manual estimates at the link here: Nexsyis Estimate Task Setup

Here's an interactive tutorial

** Best experienced in Full Screen (click the icon in the top right corner before you begin) **

https://www.iorad.com/player/2356181/Manual-Estimate-ToolCreating a New Manual Estimate

From the Folder > Estimates tab, select the New Nexsyis Estimate button.

1. At the top of the screen, indicate if the payor is Insurance or Customer. It will default to Customer. Enter a Memo if desired.

NOTE: If you select Insurance, the Deductible box will be enabled. It will assume the entire estimate is due from the insurance company and will only reduce the insurance portion if there is an amount in the deductible field.

2. To add tasks to build the estimate, double-click on any lines with the type = TASK. Once added, all the item information and repair procedures will load from what was set up in the Item and Task Setup (i.e. Quantity, Price, Notes).

3. Once the task is added, make any necessary adjustments to the quantity, notes and price. You can also add additional steps/notes to the Repair Procedures (up to 900 characters).

4. Additional items can be added manually to the same task by double-clicking items in the list to the right of the grid to add to the estimate. The item will auto-assign the line # and will display all the item information configured in the Item Master. Quantity, Notes, and Price can be updated as needed. Repeat this step for however many rows need added for the task.

5. To add an item as a custom task, enter the name of the estimate line under Use Custom Task Description. Once entered, double-click any rows where type = ITEM to add items to the new estimate task. Update quantity, price, and notes as needed and enter any repair procedures. (See example 'Car Rental' and 'Storage' below) Double-click any additional items to continue adding to the custom task. Repeat this process as needed.

6. Repeat the process for as many tasks/items until the estimate is built as expected.

7. Review all the information entered. Apply a discount if needed.

8. Select Save to save the estimate to the folder. You will return to the Estimates tab of the Folder where you will see the new estimate.

Invoicing your Estimate
