To Create Task Categories, go to Setup > Customer Messaging & Tasks > Task Categories
Creating a New Task from the Message Center
From the Tasks section, click New
Fill out your task information and click Save.
User the Reminder checkbox & Date/Time to set a pop-up notification reminder date and time for a task. When that time arrives, you will get a pop-up in the bottom-right of the app.
The task will show in the grid on the left
Note: if you create the task for a future date, you will need to check the box for "Show Scheduled"
Completing a Task
You can mark a task complete at the bottom of the task or by right-clicking over the left grid and selecting "Mark Complete"
Setting up Task Categories
New Task Categories can be managed under Setup / Folder / Task Categories
Bottom Right Indicators
You will see four separate indicators for when you have new Messages / Internal Messages / Tasks / Announcements.
Below shows an example of a user who has all four:

Tasks for Folders
Create a Task for a Folder, either from the Message Center or by clicking the new blue Tasks button on the Folder button bar.
If a Folder has an open task, a red tasks icon indicator will show at the bottom-left with the count.
Tasks will be recorded in the Notes tab under the category of "New Task". Once a task has been marked as Complete, a new "Task Complete" note will be created. |
