Creating a Custom Filter Within a Grid
If you would like to filter by a particular dataset and do not see your desired filter as an option when you click the funnel filter icon, you can create your own filter.
Example 1: Age > 100 Days
Open Vehicle Center > Outstanding AR tab
Hover your mouse over the top right corner of the age column and click the filter icon which appears, then select "(Custom)" which is the first option on the drop down list. A Custom AutoFilter window will open and you can set your custom specifications and select OK. In the example below, an age filter is set for any Folders with Outstanding A/R older than 100 days.
Example 2: Make is Either Chrysler or Dodge
Open the Cycle Time screen
Hover your mouse over the top right corner of the Make column and click the filter icon which appears, then select "(Custom)" which is the first option on the drop down list. A Custom AutoFilter window will open and you can set your custom specifications and select OK. In the example below, a Make filter is set to show Cycle Time for just Chrysler and Dodge vehicles.
Example 3: Filter the Arrival Date column below by Folders that have NO Arrival Date
Since there is not a "none" or "blank" option, I will have to use the Filter Editor to create my own filter.
Open the Folder Tracking screen
1. Right-click over the Arrival column header and select "Filter Editor"
2. The Filter Editor will open, preset with the name of the column you right-clicked over in blue. Any item that is a color, ie. red, blue, green, is a field that you can click to change.
3. Because I want to filter to any Arrival dates that are blank, I am going to click on the green text to change "Equals" to "Is null".
4. Click OK. I can now see that I am only viewing Folders with no Arrival date:
