Production Hold Flags

Production Holds are user-definable flags which can be set to alert users of factors delaying production.

There are four system-generated hold flags which will automatically be created:

  1. Missing customer authorization (activated when the "Customer Authorization Received" date is not checked on the Folder)
  2. Missing insurance authorization (activated when the "Insurance Authorization Received" date is not checked on the Folder)
  3. Vehicle is a total loss (activated when the Folder is marked as a Total Loss)
  4. Missing critical purchases (activated when purchases marked as critical have not been received)

If you do not want the system to activate any of these hold flags, you can set them to "Inactive".

Your company can add additional hold flags, if desired.

Production Hold Setup

Additional Holds can be set-up by accessing : Setup > Production> Holds

Here you can create a new Hold with three different parameter options:

   - Remove Target Date with this Hold: When this hold is activated, the Target Date will be removed from the Folder.

   - Remove Internal Date with this Hold: When this hold is activated, the Internal Date will be removed from the Folder.

   - Suspend Repair Plan: When this hold is activated, the Stage Start and Stop buttons will be hidden on the Repair Plan screen and the user will not be able to change the repair stage until the hold is removed.  The Status column on the In Process grid will also show "Suspended".

Activating a Hold Flag

To activate a manual production hold, access the Production Hold screen from:

The Vehicle Center screen (double click within the Hold column)

Or the Summary screen of the customer folder (click the edit button next to "Hold Flags.")

System generated hold flags can not be manually checked or unchecked. To activate a manual hold, check the box of the hold you would like to activate and click Save. The UserID and Date will be recorded.

Each time a hold is made, a note is added to the folder detailing the hold.
