Overview

Below outlines the differences between the Advanced Repair Plan screen and the original Repair Plan screen:

Advanced Repair Plan

Original Repair Plan

Stages must be marked started and completed

Completing a stage automatically starts it in the next stage

All stages must be marked “completed” before the Folder can be marked “Repairs are Complete”

If there are any open stages when the Folder is marked “Repairs are Complete”, the system will automatically mark all open stages as complete.

Stages can be re-ordered, added, or removed from the repair plan

The stage set cannot be changed, except by choosing a different Template of stages

Expected End Dates of each stage will be calculated. The system will show time ahead or behind

No Expected End Dates.

Stages can be assigned to resources (tied to labor allocation)

You cannot assign stages to resources.

Advanced Repair Plan Behavior Settings

Your company can choose from some additional preference settings:

1) Allow multiple stages to be open/started simultaneously (current default)

2) Only allow one stage to be open/started at once. Users must close the active stage before starting a new stage.

--Plus, choose from option 1) or 2) or 3) below--

1) Default: The repair plan will stay in its set order, stages can be start and stopped out of order as needed without affecting other stages (current default)

2) Reorder: If a stage is started out of sequence, it will be reordered to be the next in sequence. For example, if Teardown (Seq 3) is complete and Body is started next (Seq 6), Body will be reordered to show as Seq 4. At the end of the repair plan, any unused stages would show in white at the bottom & should be deleted.

3) Close Between: If a stage is started out of sequence, it will automatically start and stop any stages in between.

4) Auto-Start: Upon completion of a repair plan stage, start the next stage in sequence

Changing the Repair Plan Template

For information on setting up Repair Plan Templates see this help document: Repair Plan Templates

On a new Folder, the repair plan template will default to the template you have set up to use as the company default:

This will automatically set the stages contained within that template

To change the template for the vehicle select the alternate template from the drop-down list:

Note: it will not allow you to change a template if you have already started any stages. You must undo any activity before changing the template

Your repair plan will now show the default steps for the Template you selected

Adding a Stage

To add a new status to the Folder's repair plan:

   1. Select the line in the grid that you want the new stage to appear BEFORE

   2.  Click the New button on the button bar

   3. Select the Stage

   4. Click Save

It will now appear as that sequence number and any statuses following will be moved down a sequence.

Removing a Stage

To remove a stage from the Folder's repair plan:

Once the Folder has been marked as Arrived, a play button will appear on the line for each stage, indicating that the stage can be started

When you click the play button, the Actual Start date and time will populate:

You will then have two choices:

   1. Undo the Stage Start. This will remove the date and time in the Actual Start column

   2. Mark Stage End. Click the stop button to complete the stage. This will populate the date and time in the Actual End column

You will mark each stage as started and completed until you've marked your last stage as completed. You will not be able to mark the Folder Repairs are Complete date until all stages have been ended.

Tip: if the Folder did not go through a stage during the repair, simply remove it from the Repair Plan using the delete button.

The Stage Start and Stop buttons will be hidden on the Repair Plan screen and the user will not be able to change the repair stage until the hold is removed.
