Entering a Payment for a Credit Memo from a Vendor

Non-A/R Payments

Enter Non-AR Payment and attach credits 

1.  Make sure that the credit memo has already been posted in Nexsyis.

2.  Open Accounting / Banking/Cash / Non-AR Payments

3.  Click New on the button bar

4.  At the top of the screen, enter the details of the payment. For "Paid By" make sure that you select the vendor that you entered for the Credit Memo.

5. At the bottom of the, select VENDOR REFUND as the Reason.

6.  Click the Search button to locate the credit memo. If you correctly selected the Paid By vendor at the top of the screen then it will filter the AP Invoice screen to only load credit memos for that vendor. Select the correct credit memo and click the green check button from the button bar. This will load the credit memo ID and the amount of the credit memo.

7. If the payment is not for the full amount of the credit memo, you can edit the Amount box at the bottom. Once the Amounts match on the top and bottom the save button will activate.

- If the credit memo is applied to an open invoice then select vendor credit and use the search button to find the invoice it will offset. This will mark the invoice as paid.

8. Click Save.
