Required Setup for Technician Time Clock
1. Location
Setup / Company / Locations. On the Location setup screen, check the box for "Use Technician Time Clock". This will activate the Location for this feature.
2. Repair Stages
Setup/ Vehicle Center/ Stages/Notifications.
Activate a Stage
Set up individual repair Stages as "Tech Time Restricted." If this box is checked, the technician "Assigned To" the Repair Stage will need to start and stop the repair stage from the Technician Time screen. No start or stop buttons will show on the Repair Plan screen accessed from the Folder or Vehicle Center screen.
Default Resource Assignment
Next, if you would like to have technician(s) automatically assigned for that repair stage, choose the technician(s) you would like assigned for each location. Use the "+" button at the bottom of the grid to
In the example below, the Body Stage assignment will default to Jose Smith when the Repair Plan for a Folder at Sample Collision -1 is created.
The default assignments can always be overridden on a Folder's repair plan.
3. Individual Technicans
Payroll tab (or PayHR if you are on Nexsyis Payroll) / Employees. Check the box for "Use Technician Clock for Time". This will allow you to edit the Technician's Time tied to Repair Plan Stages on the Employee Time screen.
4. Stop Reasons
Setup/ Production/ Stage Stop Reasons. When a technician stops a repair Stage, he will be prompted with a list of reasons to select from.
Reason Settings:
-Mark Complete: if a Reason is set to "Mark Complete", it will complete the Stage when the technician clicks Stop and selects this Reason. Example: "Stage Complete"
-Clock Out: if a Reason is set to "Clock Out", it will clock the technician out of the time clock when the technician clicks Stop and selects this Reason. Example: "Lunch"
If both of these are left unchecked, it will simply clock the technician out of the Stage without marking it as complete and the technician will still be clocked into the timeclock.
