Repair Questions for e-Vehicle Check-In
The last page of the e-Vehicle Check-In feature will prompt the user to select the Repair Type and answer questions associated with that repair type, as shown:
These Repair Types and questions are custom to your company.
To set these up, open System / Setup / Production / Repair Categories
1. Create a Category (Repair Type)
2. For each category, create Questions
3. For each Question, create Response options
Step One, Add a New Category
The Categories will populate the Repair Type drop-down. The system will automatically be set up with the default categories shown but you can click the Delete button on the right to inactivate them.
To add a repair category, enter a Code, Description, and click Save.
Step Two, Create Questions
With your new category selected at the top, enter your question text under "Description" and select the Response Type (Checkbox, Dropdown List, Radio Button (use for 2 options like Yes or No), and Text), and click Save. It will be added to the list above.
Repeat to add more questions for that category
Note: a Response Type of "Text" is for the user to type free-form text into, it does not require response options in step 3.
Step Three, Create Response Options
With your question selected, enter your response text under "Response" on the far-right Question Options window and click Save. Your response will be added to the list above.
