Permission to change Completed & Delivered Date

The permission to allow the changing of Completed and Delivered Dates is: 

Transaction Permission: "Allow the changing of Folder dates/fields realted to Sales and COS"

Completed and Delivered dates should only be checked when the vehicles are actually completed or delivered. Changes to these should be infrequent and only take place to correct a mistake. Permission to change these dates should only be given to users who have a clear understanding of the financial implications described below. 

 

Before changing the completed or delivered date, you should know whether your company invoices on "Completed" or "Delivered". A change to the Completed date when you invoice on Completed will have financial ramifications. If you invoice on delivery, the Delivered date is a much more critical field and extreme caution should be used when correcting, as it has financial ramifications.

The basic design is that when a vehicle goes home, the folder is marked delivered and therefore invoiced. Sales, Cost of Sales, AR and Inventory relief are all recorded. Nexsyis will handle corrections, and correcting within the current period is generally fine. If you make a correction when outside of the current financial period, you must have a very clear knowledge of how to do this and follow through to ensure the results are as intended. It is our recommendation that correcting outside of a current financial period should never take place.
