Transferring a Folder

The location of a folder is listed in the header the customer folder. To transfer a vehicle to another location click the Transfer Location button located in the bottom center of the customer folder.

 

If the transfer button is not enabled, it is because the folder has already been delivered & invoiced and may not be transferred. There is no way to transfer a Folder after it has been invoiced, even if you reverse the invoice. 

If a work order has been created then you must have “transfer folder to another location” transaction permission. 

 

Select the new location from the list (you will only see vehicles in the same market as the current location).

 

 

If the folder has an estimate you will be prompted to delete the estimate from the folder or transfer it to be removed at a different time. Select “Yes” to remove the estimate or “No” to keep it.

 

The Folder will now reflect the new location.

Viewing Transferred Vehicles in the Vehicle Center / In Process screen

If the vehicle had a Drop Appointment at one location but was transferred to another location, the Drop column in the In Process screen will show the location of the Drop appointment in black:
