Setting up a New Employee Rate

From the Payroll tab, Select Pay Rates. Search for the employee and double-click on the Employee name to select.

At the bottom of the Pay Rates screen click New to enter a new rate.

Fill in the Job, Location, Pay Method, Rate, Effective Date, and select a Reason you are creating the rate.

Rates by Labor Type

If the employee is going to be allocated to work orders and paid as an individual, check the box next to the Employee's name in the Resource grid to set the employee as a Resource.  When the employee resource (indicated by the   icon) is selected, individual rates can be entered for each labor type (shown in the green boxes). To set a labor rate, click on the green box and enter the rate below and click the "Apply" button to set.

Once finished, click Save.

Indicate the Employee is part of a Team

If the employee is going to be allocated to work orders and paid as part of a team, check the box next to the team resource.  Since the rates are established at a team level, you will not be prompted to enter any rates.  You will however, still need to enter the employee Alloc % of the team below and click Apply.

FAQ: How do I set up a technician to flag at a different hourly rate based on the job type, i.e. for "Tesla" repairs

In these situations, we recommend you create a resource for each employee or team doing Tesla work.

For example, technician "Bob Smith" would have two resources:

1) his regular Bob Smith. Enter rates as normal

2) "Bob Smith - Tesla". Enter as a resource "Team" of 1 and set up the rates under the Team Rates screen. Instructions here: https://kb.nexsyiscollision.com/resource-teams-setup

You would then allocate to "Bob Smith - Tesla" on any Tesla folders
