Technician Resource Teams Setup

1.  Set up a Team Resource in Nexsyis

Open Setup> Production> Resources. Select the "New" icon at the bottom of the screen.

 

Enter the team Name, select the Location, and click Save.

 

Leave the Resource set up screen open, you will come back to it in Step #3. Now you will add employees to the team. 

 

2. Add Employees to the Team from the employee Pay Rates Screen

Open the employee rates screen by selecting Pay Rates from the Payroll tab. Search for the employee and double-click on the employee's Rate record to edit. 

 

Check the box to select the team in the Resource window on the bottom left. Fill in the Allocation % (Note: a team must have a total of 100% allocated across all team members) and click Apply.

Select a change Reason and click Save.

 

Do the same for any other members of that team. 

 

3. Set the Default Labor Types for Labor Allocation

Return to the Resource setup screen for your new team. The employee(s) will now show up on the right for that team.

Set the Default Sales Codes for Work Order Allocation by checking the box for the Labor Type you would like the Team to be available to allocate to and click Save.

 

4. Set Up Team Pay Rates

Select Team Rates from the Payroll tab
All commission earnings for a team are calculated based on the Team Rates entered in this screen. It does not matter if the employees on the team have different rates because the only rate used to calculate commissions is from the Team.
At the top of the screen, pick the Plan, then the Location, then the Resource Team. 
You will see the current Rates for each labor type in the grid. Edit the rate by clicking on it and keying in the amount. Once finished, click Save.
